The use of the word ‘God’ in this study-guide is

Viewed negatively, this means that the ultimate or highest Power and Reality in the universe is not the universe itself but far transcends and precedes our universe of space, time and history.

Viewed positively, the word ‘God’ in this study guide refers to the Creator of Heaven and Earth.

And, more specifically, it refers to the Creator as He uniquely reveals Himself and makes Himself known and present to and ‘with us’ by His Spirit in and through Jesus of Nazareth, crucified and risen from the dead.
