The Apostles' Creed
The Apostles' Creed
The Apostles' Creed (Latin Symbolum Apostolorum or Symbolum Apostolicum), sometimes called the Symbol of the Apostles, is an early Christian confession or statement of core beliefs.
The name of the Creed comes from the 5th century legend that, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit after Pentecost each of the Twelve Apostles dictated part of it, so it is traditionally divided into twelve articles.
